Subject: RPV PADDLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT BY THE SEA!

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes is holding its first paddle tennis tournament on Saturday, September 11, at the Ladera Linda Community Center. If paddle tennis is your racket, come compete in this round robin tournament and win the Rancho Palos Verdes Paddle Tennis Trophy! The tournament is open to Men and Women intermediate and advanced doubles teams. Tournament includes lunch, tourney favor, and FUN! Sign up today! Participants must be 18 years or older, and the fee is $40 per doubles team. Pre-registration is required. Go to the Citywebsite to download a registration form.

Subject: REMOVAL OF TRASH CARTS AFTER COLLECTION

New trash, recycling and green waste carts have been distributed to all residents in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes. This is a good opportunity to remind all of our residents that the City has regulations for when carts can be left out by the curb, and how they should be stored when they are not out at the curb.
Trash, recycling and green waste carts cannot be placed at the curb for collection earlier than 8 am the day before collection. Additionally, empty carts must be removed from the curb no later than 8 pm on the day of collection. Please do not leave your empty carts at the curb.
Furthermore, when not at the curb, carts should be stored so that they are substantially screened from view from the street.
The City’s Community Development Department asks that residents abide by these rules to keep our streets and neighborhoods clean and attractive.

Subject: RPV’s LABOR DAY HOLIDAY TRASH COLLECTION SCHEDULE

EDCO Customers: There will be no collection on Monday, Labor Day, September 6, 2010. Subsequently all collections for the week will be delayed by one day. If you have any questions, contact EDCO Customer Service at (310) 540-2977.
Leave your carts out by 7 a.m. on collection day to avoid a missed pickup. Please remove empty carts by 8 p.m. on your collection day. Please help keep your street and neighborhood clean and attractive.
Universal Waste Systems Customers: There will be no collection on Monday, Labor Day, September 6, 2010. Due to the Labor Day holiday, your Thursday collection will be delayed by one day. If you have any questions, contact UWS Customer Service at (800) 631-7016.
Please leave containers out by 7 a.m. to avoid a missed pickup.

Subject: Traffic Advisory - Repairs to PVDS

Please be advised that the City will be patching Palos Verdes Drive South in the slide area on Tuesday 8/31. The repairs should take one day. Full time flag personnel will be present all day. Please drive carefully.
