Emergency Preparedness Committee
OVERVIEW
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS COMMITTEE
The Emergency Preparedness Committee advises and assists the City Council and staff to ensure that the City of Rancho Palos Verdes develops and maintains a high state of readiness to respond to a wide variety of emergencies and disasters.
CONTACTING THE EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS COMMITTEE VIA EMAIL
The Emergency Preparedness Committee generally meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Community Room at City Hall. The most effective manner to communicate with the Committee is to send an e-mail message to epc@rpv.com by 5:30 pm on the Thursday before the scheduled meeting. By doing this, the written comments will be included with the Staff Report (for agenda items) or with the agenda packet (for non-agenda items), which the Committee members receive before the scheduled meeting. This provides the Committee with the opportunity to review the comments before the next meeting. Written comments or e-mail messages submitted to the Department after 5:30 pm on Thursday before the meeting will be distributed to the Committee at the meeting. All e-mail messages sent to the epc@rpv.com address are automatically forwarded to each Committee member’s private e-mail address at the time the message is received at the City.
