| OVERVIEW |
| The Public Works Department is responsible for a wide variety of activities, including the following: |

| Maintenance of public facilities including park grounds and buildings, trails, open space, traffic signals, drainage systems, roads, medians, shoulders, and landscaping within the public right-of-way; |
|
| Public Works administration, including grant administration, undergrounding districts, and transportation coordination and
refuse disposal and recycling programs; |
|
City engineering, including project design, traffic safety, and construction management.
